Corden's Storyline - The Silence of a Billion Souls

Operative EmpChihuahua Reporting

I am sad to report that this mission was the last for Operative Nyx (@CelestialPhenyx).  It is with even greater sadness that I am reporting she has passed on in a horrific accident.  It appears Operative Nyx was contacted by Mon Mothma of the Rebellion (@_Mon_Mothma) to complete a sensitive assignment to gather intelligence on a nuclear device being developed by the Epsis on Point Nadir.  The Epsis are headed by an Ubese by the name of Liash Keane, and were apparently building a device for the Sable Dawn, a mercenary group that supports terrorist operations.  The Sable Dawn's administrator, Virec Xan (@VirecXan), ordered the device to be created and set to detonate under the Palace in the heart of Cymmeron (Bactos II).  Operative Nyx and Corden Maximus (@Corden_Maximus) infiltrated the Ubese compound to find it barren.  They managed to find a room with radioactive residue which confirmed Mon Mothma's suspicions that a device was made there, and Nyx managed to hack into the console to find it's current location.  The console confirmed the device was just shipped to Cymmeron and Nyx and Corden set out to find it.

Using the scanner on her handheld computer, Nyx followed the radioactive signature trail to the city's aquaduct.  If the device were detonated directly in the heart of the city, it would destroy nearly the entire thing and also poison the city's water system so survivors would eventually die of radioactivity poisoning. Directly under the Palace, she located the device.  The holo feed shows her and Corden trying to disarm it, and then a holo appearing of what Corden says was Virec Xan.  With only a few minutes left, the holo shows Nyx telling Mon Mothma and Corden that they couldn't get out in time alive.  In a last minute ditch effort, Nyx Forced Pushed Corden away and erected a Force Bubble around herself and the device.

The security holo footage shows a bright flash, and ends there.

To one of the greatest Operatives in Rebellion history, May the Force be with You.
